Control HVAC, Lighting and more with Verdant Thermostats

Make the most of your Verdant energy management thermostats by using auxiliary outputs that can help control numerous third party devices, including lights, makeup air dampers, and more.

Turn Lights On & Off Automatically

Verdant thermostats use built-in infrared motion sensors in conjunction with a wired occupancy sensor placed at the entry door to continuously and reliably scan a room for occupancy.

The thermostat comes with an auxiliary output that provides a binary signal according to the real-time occupancy status in the room. This auxiliary output is wired to a 24VAC relay installed on the lighting circuit; closing the circuit when the room is occupied, and automatically shutting off power to the circuit 20 minutes after occupancy is no longer detected.

Put Money Back In The Bank By Delivering Fresh Air Only When Needed

Makeup air systems are increasingly popular and even mandated by many state building codes.  They also consume considerable energy when left running in vacant rooms.

When you integrate Verdant thermostats with your makeup air units or other dampers, you ensure that fresh air is delivered to the room only when rooms are occupied.

Easily Achieve Building Code Compliance

Many states and local jurisdictions have adopted the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) standards of 2015 or higher.  This code mandates occupancy based setback thermostats and automatic lighting shutoff in all commercial buildings.  Verdant’s energy management system is the perfect solution to have your cake and eat it too!

Slay Phantom Power

Once And For All

Like a leaky faucet, TV’s, coffee machines, and phone chargers sit in ‘standby’ mode for long periods during the day, consuming energy unnecessarily when rooms are empty.

Integrating Verdant thermostats with your receptacles is the easiest way to power devices only when necessary.
